Your dream holiday cottage in Capel Island Village
Capel Island Village is a unique development comprising of just 8 houses neatly tucked on a gentle slope with rural sea views. In the distance is Knockadoon, Capel Island and the Blue Atlantic. To the west is the Ballyvergan marsh, an area of national ecological importance, a preserved habitat with many rare species of birds and fauna. The village is just 500 metres from the Blue Flag beach, which stretches several miles in length from the town of Youghal to Pilmore. It is entireley self contained and while rural in setting is close to all amenities.

The house has four bedrooms, two being en-suite. Upstairs floors are of polished french pine. Downstairs comprises of two single bedrooms, all fully fitted, a gallery kitchen and ample Sitting/Dining room with exposed timber ceiling. Heating is Gold Shield Low Cost. A traditional Irish hearth will welcome your guests. The kitchen and furniture are locally handcrafted where possible. Lighting has a distinct maritime theme with matching decor. The house comes fully fitted and supplied ready for letting and boasting all mod cons including washer driers, dishwashers etc.

Only 500 metres from the beach
Youghal's Blue Flag (the EU standard of excellence) sandy beach stretches from the small port in the Town Centre to Pillmore several miles away. The Town is set in the heart of the rich Munster pastures. Fresh local produce is available in abundance and there is no shortage of quality restaurants with finest foods and of course the local pubs are never short of famous Irish Stout.

Youghal is the ideal location to tour the Cork / Kerry and Waterford regions. Cork City, the magnificent Cobh, Blarney Castle, Waterford with famous crystal are within 50 miles. Nearer to hand are the fishing Villages of Ballycotton and Ardmore and of course the Heritage Village of Lismore with Lismore Castle Seat of the Duke of Devonshire. The townland of Ring "rinn na Deise" about 15 miles distant is one of the few "Gaeltachts" (Gaelic speaking regions) remaining in the country. We recommend a visit to one or two of the local pubs to experience the finest traditional Irish music and dance.

Featured on the BBC holiday programme "Holidays on a Shoestring" and recieved the highest recommendation.
